How to overcome
inner enemies?
The Story of The Three Little Pigs
The Story of The Three Little Pigs
can be compared to the practice of meditation,
where the wolf represents the human mind
and the houses represent truth and
the degree of enlightenment is symbolized
by the straw, sticks, and bricks used in the house.
For those who have not achieved deep
enlightenment,
their truth is not as solid as a house made of
bricks and can easily collapse
when stirred by the human mind.
In contrast, those who have achieved firm
enlightenment have truth as solid as a brick
house and are able to withstand the attacks
of the human mind.
Building a sturdy house with bricks takes more
time and effort than with straw and sticks,
just like realizing one's self-centered
and incomplete human mind with their heart
requires a significant amount of
self-reflection and repentance.
The true villain in the story may not be the wolf
but rather the two pigs' arrogant and ignorant
attitude towards life, which led them
to believe that it was acceptable to put
in less effort or sincerity in their actions.
Likewise, for people,
their worst enemy would be their laziness
or insincerity for their self-reflection
and repentance, which prevents them from
achieving solid enlightenment and standing
firm in truth.
It would be good if people
could identify that every time the human mind
tries to swallow them,
it is as dangerous as a wolf,
and be able to escape from it.
