Preah Vihear Temple Run (Trail 42.5km) Meditation & Running

🏃‍♀️🧘‍♂️ Meditation & Running – July 06, 2025

On July 6, 2025, we joined the SAI 'Preah Vihear Temple Run' 42.5km, and we are so proud to say — we completed it together! 🎉👏

For one of us, this was the very first time running a full marathon — 42.5 kilometers through mountain trails and sacred landscapes. The course was tough, with long distances in the mountains, even though the road was quite good.

One of us stopped for a drink of water midway and accidentally left his walking stick behind, which forced him to walk an extra kilometer to retrieve it. This delayed his arrival, but his tenacity and perseverance were truly remarkable.

The difficulties not many people joined us for 42.5km. So almost of races have to walk and run alone. We kept going with patience and determination.

One more thing is no ice water and fresh fruits during the race. Perhaps this was due to the remote location and the tension in the border area.

As soon as I arrived at the finish line late, the medical team, who were about to leave work, sat me down and gave me a massage. Perhaps that's why my legs didn't hurt at all even after running 42.5 kilometers.

Even though we ran slowly, we never gave up. We supported and encouraged each other from start to finish. And finally, we crossed the finish line even later. It was a moment we’ll never forget.

The entire day was filled with positive energy, teamwork, and a strong sense of unity. We are deeply thankful to all the runners, volunteers, and organizers who made this event so meaningful and memorable. 💕

This event was even more special because it happened to celebrate the 17th anniversary of Preah Vihear Temple's inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

On July 7, 2025, we celebrate the 17th anniversary of Preah Vihear Temple's inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List. 🏛️

Unfortunately, we couldn't attend the special event because we are so late.

Running through this sacred and historical site made us feel truly connected — not only to nature and our bodies, but also to culture, history, and something bigger than ourselves.

This experience reminded us that running is not just about speed — it’s about heart, courage, and being fully present. It’s about growing stronger together, step by step.

Let’s keep running, meditating, and supporting one another.

Let’s keep moving forward — with kindness, strength, and joy.

We believe in each other.
We believe in the power of doing things together.
Because together, we can do anything.
