Individual me, or whole me
One day, "Ear" asked "Eye",
"How does it feel to see the world?
I can only listen, so I wouldn't know."
Wanting to show off,
Eye drew more energy from the body
and soon could see things from afar
and zoom in on the finest details.
But then something unexpected happened.
As Eye used so much energy meant for the whole body
balance began to break down.
One by one, organs stopped working,
and eventually, Eye could no longer function.
I hope this story helps you to see
things from a broader perspective.
From the body's perspective,
every organ is part of the whole "me".
Likewise, from the universe's perspective,
people of all races and genders together
form the whole "me" of the universe.
In the end, for the true, whole "me" to thrive,
individuals must realize that it's not about
standing out or excelling alone.
It's about coexisting as one,
doing their job properly, without ego,
and directing all glory to the true self.
