I am the director, the main character, and
the sole audience of my life story.
In this world, there is no one without a story.
Stories of struggling through poverty,
losing a loved one,
and heartbreak from traumatic events.
But it seems that only humans have stories.
Would the flowers trampled by a passerby
carry resentment?
Would the stray cat lament its fate?
Would the sun wish for a reward for its great work?
They seem to live without a mind
that constructs or destroys,
but simply exist.
I wonder if the countless stories of my life are real at all.
The events certainly happened.
But it must be my perspective
that labels them as happy or sad,
making me a victim one moment
and a tragic hero the next.
Indeed, I am the director, the main character,
and the sole audience of my life story.
I must stop laughing and crying inside
and destroy that false world,
so I can just live in a world that flows
according to its own will, not mine.
