A story of Sea Cucumber

There was a couple living with their son. One day, body conditions of the wife had been so bad that she didn’t have no option but to go on a diet. After several days of diet, she couldn’t restrain her desire to eat anymore and decided to buy some sea cucumber which was her favorite. She bought it from a market and cooked for herself to eat. Right at the moment when she was about to eat it, the telephone rang. It was her close friend who she hadn’t talked to for long.

While she was talking on the phone in her room, her husband and son came back home and saw the sea cucumber on the dining table. They recognized at once that it is his wife/mom’s favorite. They thought, ‘if I just leave it like that, she will eat it, which will lead failure of her diet and keep her ill.”
So they decided to eat it up and actually did it thinking that they were doing a really nice thing to her.

At the moment they put the last piece of sea cucumber into their mouth, she came out of her room and watched that scene. Being very upset, she just went back to her room and thought, ‘How could they do that? If they had known my feeling, they should have left even one piece.’
Soon after, her son came in the room, and what he said was, “Mom, I ate it even though I don’t like sea cucumber, so you are not going to mess up your diet.”

People do things for their wife, husband, children, or parents, but most of the times we can find that those actions are not what the others truly want. Even though people think those actions are taken for the benefits of the others, often times those are done with their own standards. After all, it might not be a true help to that person. Because every human being has their self-centered mind worlds, it would not be possible for one to truly understand the other. Only when one’s mind world is subtracted and he becomes the universe mind, everything will become so clear. Everybody will love and help each other with their true minds.
